Leonard P. Ponte
Chairman

Prior to co-founding All American Investment Group, ("All American"), Mr. Ponte served more than 26 years as a banking executive. He held the position of President/CEO of a community bank in the Chicago area. The Bank was the highest rated bank in DuPage County, and rated in the top ten of the approximately 400 banks in the Chicago area by Crain’s Chicago Business. The success of his bank was partially due to Mr. Ponte’s involvement in municipal leasing as an investment alternative for the bank’s portfolio. He originated and purchased municipal leases, and was instrumental in obtaining acceptance of lease assets from banking regulatory agencies.

In 1987, the Bank was purchased by Dutch-owned LaSalle National Bank.  Mr. Ponte served as Chairman/CEO of LaSalle Bank, formed by a merger of three banks. He introduced municipal leasing to LaSalle National Corporation and its parent, ABN/AMRO, and served as Vice Chairman of LaSalle National Leasing Corporation. During his banking career he was responsible for more than one billion dollars in municipal leasing assets without experiencing a single loss.  Mr. Ponte retired in 1999, and co-founded All American shortly thereafter.

Throughout his banking career, Mr. Ponte was active in community activities. He served as President of the Lisle Chamber of Commerce, President of the 100 Club of DuPage County, Director of the DuPage Hospice, Member of the Advisory Board of Illinois Benedictine College, President of DuPage County Banks’ chapter of the Bank Administration Institute, President of the Lisle Rotary Club, and chaired numerous civic fund-raising events.

Prior to his banking career, Mr. Ponte served in the United States Air Force for twenty years. He held flying ratings of Command Pilot and Senior Navigator. He flew more than 100 combat missions in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. He served overseas for almost 6 years of his career, and retired with the rank of Lt.Colonel.

Mark P. Ponte
President

Mr. Ponte has been in the tax exempt debt market for over twenty-five years. Before joining All American Investment Group, ("All American"), he was the Senior Managing Director responsible for the tax-exempt investment banking area at ABN AMRO's North American headquarters in Chicago. In six years he expanded the bank’s fee income in this area from less than two million in 1991 to over fourteen million by 1997.

He was responsible for all investment banking staff, overseeing the direct origination, structure and placement of transactions as well as the purchase, securitization and sale of large portfolios of private municipal debt.

Mr. Ponte was also directly responsible for ABN-AMRO's tax exempt securitization, which was a derivative product made up principally of fixed price, illiquid municipal leases which were pooled and credit enhanced.  The derived product was sold as tender option bonds. This product alone brought in two and one half million dollars to the Bank annually, in addition to the fee income on the origination and placement of leases.   His group also used their expertise to assist the bank in structuring bond derivatives for the treasury department.

In addition to the derivatives products, Mr. Ponte has worked on the structure and sale of nearly three billion dollars in privately placed municipal debt.  He has been called on many times to make formal presentations to investors, municipalities and industry colleagues.
